The Female Factor

There is a revolution in the workforce. Women are on the cusp of representing over 50% of the American workforce. According to The Economist, in the European Union, women have filled 6 million of the 8 million new jobs created since 2000. Despite the increase, upper level management remains largely dominated by men. In France only 10% of women are present in boardrooms.

The French parliament has decided to intervene and follow the example of Norway and Spain by legally requiring boardrooms of large corporations to be 40% female. To find out more about how these new regulations will affect your corporation and can be used to your advantage, join us at The Female Factor taking place at Cercle de l’Union Interalliée, Paris.

This half-day event will shed light on the following questions:

  • Should governments enforce female quotas in company boardrooms?
  • Do such laws reinforce or weaken the case for women in the top positions?
  • Why should we care: is it about battling inequality or getting away from old-boy decision-making?
  • What are the responsibilities of corporations, head-hunters and shareholders in achieving more balanced boardrooms?
